Living Arts’ out-of-school youth classes and workshops include year-round visual, performing, literary and media arts education programs for youth ages 3 months to 18 years.
We provide youth arts programming after school, on weekdays (for infant/toddlers and their caregivers) on Saturdays, and in the summer months through our Out-of-School Arts program (OSA.). Teen programming includes “THE SPOT,” an interdisciplinary, youth-led open studio program. Our intermediate and advanced dance students ages 7 and up can participate in our three outstanding youth dance ensembles spanning classical, modern and hip hop dance: Junior Company, Dance Collage, and Fever Dance Troupe (available for community performance bookings.) Along with programs for youth, Living Arts has an active parent advisory council.
Most of Living Arts' youth classes and workshops take place at the beautiful Ford Resource and Engagement Center at the Mexicantown Mercado, in the building's dance and art studios. However, classes and workshops can also be brought to your community location!
Living Arts’ teaching team for youth classes and workshops includes Spanish-bilingual artists and artists with experience teaching English language-learning youth and youth with disabilities.
