Laura has been Stage and Production Managing professionally for the past 17 years. Most recently, she served as a faculty member at MSU. She came to MSU from The University of Chicago where she served as the Production Manager for Theatre & Performance Studies Program as well as the Chicago Performance Lab. During her time at uChicago she created a Stage and Production Management focus in addition to transitioning the department into the Logan Center for the Arts.

Laura also served as the Production Manager for Emerald City Theatre Company, where she oversaw the mainstage and touring productions. Laura attended The Theatre School at DePaul University. She was the Production Management apprentice at Steppenwolf Theatre Company and the Production Management intern at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre.

Her Stage Management highlights include roles as the Resident Stage Manager at the Dorset Theater Festival in Vermont and Stage Manager for the Human Festival in Chicago, as well as work for numerous new plays and world premieres. Laura attended the Roeper School and has lots of family and friends in education in Detroit.

Q: What is the most memorable or most impactful art experience you've had as an adult?

A: The first time I saw George Seurat's "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" I cried. It is simply stunning.
