Photograpphy Teaching Artists

Sacred is a Metro Detroit-based photographer with over a decade of experience capturing the essence of people and events. A proud graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in Communications and a United States Air Force Veteran, Sacred seamlessly blends discipline and creativity in her work. After her service in the Air Force, she followed her passion for visual storytelling and founded Moon Reflections Photography & Moon Reflections Productions—a full-service photography and videography company dedicated to crafting unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experiences for its clients.

Moon Reflections Photography specializes in branding, headshots, events, corporate and nonprofit projects, as well as portraits, commercial, and freelance photography and videography. Sacred’s talent and dedication have earned her features in notable online and print publications, including SEEN Magazine, The Michigan Chronicle, The Huffington Post, Ebony.com, and Rolling Out Magazine, among others.

In 2018, Sacred realized a long-held dream by founding Young Creators Arts and Enrichment (YCAE), a 501(c)(3) organization. Initially launched as a summer photography camp for kids and teens, YCAE began with just six students meeting on Saturdays. Over the years, it has grown to host two separate camps, accommodating up to 15 students per session, and has impacted over 150 young creatives in its eight-year history. While the program originally served primarily Detroit city youth, YCAE is expanding its focus to support BIPOC children across Southeastern Michigan.

Beyond her photography sessions and editorial work, Sacred shares her expertise through workshops on digital photography and camera basics. Her passion for education and inspiration has also led her to speak nationally at events like The Reset Conference.

In addition to being a highly respected freelance photographer, motivational speaker, and educator, Sacred is a devoted wife and mother of three. When she isn’t behind the lens, she treasures time at home, nurturing her family and encouraging her children to pursue their passions.
